Early Morning Shooting Injures One In Downtown Vancouver

    Vancouver police are providing few details about the latest shooting in the city at Abbott and West Pender Street.
     
    The police department confirms a woman was shot just before 5 a.m.
     
    She has been taken to hospital and an email from the department says she is expected to survive.
     
    The shooting occurred near Vancouver's Gastown district, close to Abbott Street at West Pender Street.
     
    Police say information about a motive or more details about possible suspects will be released when available.
