  • Indians Best At Online Travel Bookings, Shows Survey
When planning to travel, look out for an Indian to avail best offers as they are best at bargaining and exploring more lucrative offers on booking online, a new survey conducted by payment processing company Worldpay revealed.

For the survey titled 'Why Do They Pay That Way?' Worldpay polled 2,000 travellers and it revealed that around 78 per cent of Indians selected their travel destinations because of availability of cheap flights and holidays.

While around 49 per cent of Indian travellers planned to use a credit card to book their next holiday, a stunning 96 per cent of Indians said they prefer to book their holiday package using Net banking, the survey revealed.

"Despite India's relatively slow growth in travel spending, online travel sales are forecast to experience a significant rise in the coming years,” said Phil Pomford, General Manager Asia Pacific of Worldpay, in a statement.

India also leads the way on m-commerce (commercial transactions conducted electronically by mobile phone) adoption with 65 per cent of travellers saying they would be happy to use their smartphone to buy travel on the move, while 67 per cent said they had paid for last holiday out of savings.
