New Charges For Man Accused Of Sexually Exploiting More Than 2,000 Boys Online

The Canadian Press, 31 Mar, 2016 01:08 PM
MONCTON, N.B. — A New Brunswick man suspected of sexually exploiting more than 2,000 young people online now faces new charges.

The 25-year-old Moncton man has been charged with production of child pornography, child luring, extortion, making child pornography available, and making sexually explicit material available to persons under the age of 18.

The man's name is subject to a publication ban intended to protect the identity of a victim.

He previously pleaded guilty to producing child pornography, sexual assault and making child pornography available.

Police allege a video of a teenage girl that appeared to be live was used in video chats to convince boys to undress and initiate sex acts, which were recorded and distributed on the Internet.

Police say the alleged offences happened from at least January 2012 to the fall of 2014 and there are alleged victims worldwide, including in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia and Russia.
