Social Media Campaign Reminds People To Rescue Syrian Children Instead Of Pokemon Figures

    A clever new social media campaign is reminding us of just this, with images of the children holding up images of the toon figures to tell us to find them and take them away.
     
    The Syrian civil war has been going on the for over five years now. Millions of inhabitants of the country have been displaced and been forced to leave their home country to seek their fortunes elsewhere.
     
     
     Thousands have perished at home and in perilous journeys while migrating. The situation doesn't look to get better any time soon.
     
    Here's an interview with the graphic designer whose posts on Facebook were an inspiration for the project.
     
     
    Last Tuesday, US-led airstrikes allegedly killed close to 73 civilians in northern Syria. UNICEF estimates that around 35,000 children have become trapped in the area following the airstrikes.
