Monika Yadav, a resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat decided to follow her heart and do something she loves – driving. She is also Gujarat’s first female Uber driver. Quite unconventional, right?

Yes, and it’s not because she was desperate for the job, it’s a matter of choice. Yadav a post-graduate student says she never dreamed of doing a 9-5 job. After a degree from Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology, Ahmedabad, she wanted to follow what she really wanted.

Travelling and driving were the two things she loved the most and she looked for a job that would involve driving. She approached Ola but the company turned her down. Then she approached Uber and they were welcoming and quite supportive. After a few hurdles, now she is living her life and enjoying the perks.
