Watch: Leopard Sneaks Into A Honeymooning Couple's Bedroom In Nainital

IANS, 03 Aug, 2016 12:17 PM
Meerut-based couple Sumit Rathore and his wife Shivani were sleeping in the room when they felt something moving on the bed.

Rathore quickly woke up and saw the leopard rush into the washroom. Thanks to his quick thinking, he immediately ran to close the bathroom door. “To my horror, I felt something moving on my bed. It was then that I saw the leopard, which immediately ran inside the bathroom.

Even though I was shocked and scared, I quickly jumped out of bed and locked the bathroom door,” he told the Times of India.

The hotel’s owner Amit Sah called the police and forest officials who sent the rescue team but before they could catch hold of the leopard, it escaped out of the bathroom window. Reportedly, the team arrived with tranquiliser guns and a cage but couldn’t catch the leopard.

“This was a young leopard which came to the hotel after being chased by dogs. We tried our best to capture it but failed,” divisional forest official Tejasvini Arvind Patil told the Hindustan Times.

A short video of the leopard was caught on camera and shared online which has gone viral.
