78-Year-Old Surrey Private Instructor Nader Abdulaziz Charged With Sexual Interference Of Two Students

28 Jan, 2020 09:35 PM

SURREY, B.C. - The RCMP say a private instructor has been charged with sexual interference after allegedly abusing two former students in Surrey, B.C.

The Special Victims Unit says investigators believe there may be more alleged victims in the community and are encouraging anyone with more information to come forward.

The Mounties say the investigation began last July when they received a report of sexual interference involving two victims who were youths when the incidents allegedly took place between 2010 and 2012.

The incidents are alleged to have occurred at a private home in the Newton neighbourhood where the youth attended studies with a private instructor.

Following the report, the RCMP say the B.C. Prosecution Service approved two charges of sexual interference against 78-year-old Nader Abdulaziz.

Staff Sgt. Lindsay O'Ruairc says reporting sexual interference can be difficult for victims, but officers are compassionate and ready to listen, and victim services staff are available to provide support throughout the process.
