Brother Gifts Sister Toilet On Raksha Bandhan, Wants People To Follow His Lead

Darpan News Desk IANS, 20 Aug, 2016 02:14 PM
Pintu, resident of Ramgarh in Jharkhand, cited the Swachh Bharat mission and argued against open defecation, saying it is not healthy.

“I think open defecation is not healthy, and Prime Miniter Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat mission also says the same thing,” Pintu told ANI. “Thats when I decided to construct a toilet.”

He said he gifted the toilet to his sister and wanted people to follow his lead. “I gifted the toilet to my sister on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

I want more and more people to notice this and do the same,” he said. A visibly happy sister is also seen beside him.
Earlier in August, Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu launched the Swachh Survekshan 2017 and urged people to participate in the drive in great numbers and help in keeping the country clean.

“Swachh Bharat mission is a jan andolan, as our Prime Minister says,” he had said on the occasion.

In the event, he also announced that 114 cities in the country are open defecation free.
