Indian Boy Run Over By Car In Dubai

    A six-year-old Indian boy died here when he was run over by a car, the media reported on Sunday.
     
    The accident took place at Dubai's Murshid Bazaar area on Saturday night, a report in the Khaleej Times said. 
     
    According to police sources, the accident happened when Yaala Mohstisham, riding his bicycle, was zig-zagging on the road. He was hit by a driver, also an Indian, who was on his correct lane. The boy was crushed in the accident.
     
    Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the Dubai Traffic Department, said the accident was captured on CCTV cameras.
     
    The boy sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
     
    The boy was studying in Class 2. 
     
    "He was a cheerful and lovely boy. His family has been settled in the UAE for a long time and is in a state of shock," said Abdulqadirr Pasha, a relative of Yaala.
     
    Pasha said the family is completing the legal and administrative procedures and after that the child will be laid to rest here.
