An Indian-origin woman from New Zealand died after falling 10 metres from the roof of hotel building during a terrace party, a media report said.

Keshia Handa, 31, fell to her death on September 19 when a makeshift bridge connecting the Grand Hotel de Londres in Istanbul's central Beyoglu district with an adjacent apartment collapsed as soon as she stepped on it, Indian Weekender reported on Monday citing Hurriyet Daily News.

Handa was working in Australia's Brisbane city and would often travel the world to participate in dance parties, according to her friends.

She had checked into the hotel along with two other friends on September 16 to participate in the salsa party attended by 200 guests.
