Modi Has Hitler's Mindset: Imran Khan

Darpan News Desk IANS, 09 Aug, 2019 07:49 PM

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that his India counterpart Narendra Modi had the mindset of Adolf Hitler, the late German dictator and leader of the Nazi Party.

Addressing a gathering of international journalists in Islamabad, Imran Khan said: "The BJP is now deploying the same mechanisms used by the Nazis in Germany. They want to create an India that is dominated by Hindus alone, and they intend to conduct a genocide against the Muslims in Kashmir."

Khan said that if there was a war between the two countries, Pakistan will give a befitting response to India, as tension escalated between the two nuclear powered neighbours following the scrapping of Article 370 granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

The cricketer-turned-politician said that Pakistan will take the issue of "Indian violence against Kashmiris to the United Nations".

Khan also said that the international community "will be apprised of the Indian tactics, such as ethnic cleansing and plans to change the demography of Kashmir".

Khan, however, denied that Pakistan will support the militant groups in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Supporting militant groups in Kashmir or elsewhere is not an option before Pakistan," Khan told the journalists.

He said it appeared that India was rattled into making a hasty decision of revoking Article 370 after the US President Donald Trump's offered to mediate on the Kashmir issue, which irked the Modi administration.
