Pakistanis protest India's 'occupation' in Kashmir

    Pakistanis held demonstrations to mark the anniversary of what they termed as India's invasion and occupation of Kashmir Oct 27, 1947, media reported Tuesday.
     
    The Pakistani nation stands united with the Kashmiri people in their struggle for right to self-determination, Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said Monday.
     
    "The hearts and minds of all Pakistanis are with Kashmiris," he said at a seminar organised by the Youth Forum for Kashmir at the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
     
    He said thousands of people attended the march in London Sunday to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir, Dawn online quoted Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) as saying.
     
    In New York, Pakistanis staged a demonstration in front of the UN building.
     
    In Brussels, members of the Pakistani community gathered to express solidarity for the cause of Kashmir.
