Punjab-Origin Man Majinder Singh Jailed For Causing Serious Injury By Dangerous Driving In UK

    An Indian-origin man in Britain has been jailed for 20 months and disqualified from driving for four years after being found guilty of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
     
    The court heard how the driver Singh and three passengers had been on a night out in the Wembley area.
     
    Majinder Singh, 25, from Hayes, west London, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court, where the judge was told how he and three passengers had been on a night out in the Wembley area.
     
     
    “Officers were called to Iron Bridge, Southall, at approximately 05:00 hrs on Saturday, 10 September 2016 to reports of a road traffic collision which injured three men. A black Hyundai coupe was involved in a collision with two parked cars,” a Scotland Yard statement said.
     
    “The driver made off from the scene prior to the arrival of police leaving two of the occupants trapped inside, one of whom received life threatening injuries. Singh was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving,” the statement added.
