Reward to solve MH370 mystery

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 08 Jun, 2014 01:04 PM
Relatives of those on-board the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 have launched a fund-raising campaign to find information regarding the whereabouts of the aircraft, media reported Sunday.

Reward MH370, headed by Ethan Hunt, a technology company chief, will be conducted via a fund-raising website called Indiegogo, BBC reported.

The campaign aims "to encourage a whistle-blower to come forward with information", the families said in a press release.

The families aim to raise at least $5 million.

Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 vanished mysteriously about an hour after taking off for Beijing from Kuala Lumpur shortly after midnight March 8.

The Boeing 777-200ER was scheduled to land in Beijing the same morning. The 227 passengers on board included five Indians, 154 Chinese and 38 Malaysians.

The ongoing search for the missing jet is being conducted by Australia off its western coast up to an area 60,000 sq.km in the southern Indian Ocean where underwater pings were detected earlier.

The Malaysian government said in a statement issued last week that the country will keep searching for MH370 for as long as it takes.

What attracts us to mythology? Is it the human fascination for tales, particularly those personifying natural phenomenon, or explaining the creation of the world and humankind in a way that is easily understood and without going into the big bang theory and evolution?
