Toronto-born Rabbi Dies In Israel After Spending A Year In A Coma After Attack

    MONTREAL — The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs says a Toronto-born Rabbi has died of his injuries nearly a year after being stabbed at a Jerusalem synagogue.
     
    CIJA says that Howie Chaim Rotman, 55, was in a coma since he was critically injured in the attack in November 2014.
     
    His death Saturday brings the death toll of the attack to six, including a police officer.
     
    The two attackers were later killed in a police shootout.
     
    Rotman is survived by his wife and ten children.
