Giving Hearts Gala

The Giving Hearts Gala took place on Saturday, February 11th, at Langley’s Coast Hotel & Convention Centre to celebrate philanthropy within the South Asian community. The gala was presented by Allure Ventures. 

CEO of Allure Ventures Garry Sangha was also present and addressed the audience. The gala was supporting Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The night raised funds to renew the Spiritual Space at Langley Memorial Hospital (LMH) — a place where patients, their loved ones, and health care workers can find solace in times of crisis.

Co founders Manjit Gill and Balraj Mann were behind the 4th Giving Hearts Gala. Up to 350  guests enjoyed a South Asian fusion dinner and an evening of entertainment, including an online raffle, live, and silent auctions.

Celebration of Care Gala

Surrey Hospital Foundation’s Celebration of Care Gala – A Sweet Escape welcomed over 650 of Surrey’s business, community, medical, and philanthropic leaders at the Aria Banquet Hall on Saturday, February 25th. The 6th annual gala raised over $2.4 million for children’s health in Surrey.

The Surrey Hospital Foundation would like to say a huge thank you to the Gala Committee, SHF Board of Directors, Event Emcees Dr. Ratanshi and Sonia Sunger, the incredible Auctioneer Fred Lee, Dr. Strangelove Band, Grace and Laura, and of course, Presenting Sponsors EllisDon and Berezan Group along with all of the other wonderful event sponsors.

Marina Haddad announced a $1 million gift at the event, in memory of her husband Sherrold Haddad who was a long-time supporter of Surrey Memorial Hospital and a strong advocate for children’s health care in Surrey.
