Review: Disney on Ice: Worlds of Enchantment

Darpan News Desk, 28 Nov, 2016 12:30 PM
Be it Finding Dory, The Jungle Book, Tangled, or the very popular Frozen, Disney always manages to charm, entice and mesmerize its audience through its films and loveable characters. This magic and excitement was re-created at Disney on Ice: Worlds of Enchantment show in Vancouver where Disney’s favourite characters came alive on the ice rink to entertain the young and the old.

Produced by Feld Entertainment, the action-packed ice spectacular showcased beloved characters from Disney-Pixar’s Cars, Toy Story 3, Disney’s The Little Mermaid and the enchanting Academy Award-winning Frozen. The dazzling skating, special effects, and timeless characters created a lifetime of memories.

Being one of the most-awaited events this season, especially for children, there was a sense of excitement in the air – not just among kids, but among adults as well. Little ones were seen dressed as Disney characters Elsa, Anna, and even the beloved snowman Olaf. Worlds of Enchantment was simply energetic and entertaining, and each character’s entry on the ice rink just added more vibrancy and liveliness to the show.

There was music, dancing, and some great skating moves, that got the audience singing and clapping throughout. It was a captivating show that had everyone bound by a beautiful spell only to be broken when the show was over.

Two of the best moments of the show: Mickey and Minnie Mouse teaching everyone some great dance moves; and the final act featuring Frozen which had everyone applauding and cheering the loudest.

I asked my nieces if they would want to watch Worlds of Enchantment again and as expected the answer was ‘Yes’ – a definite answer by each child who watched the show.

A magical showcase, one you would want to see again and again.
