There are 108 new cases of COVID-19, including four epi-linked cases, for a total of 146,561 cases in British Columbia. The rolling 7 day average is now 123 new cases a day. The lowest since October 8.

76.1% of all adults in B.C. and 74.4% of those 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. In total, 4,102,905 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in B.C., 657,491 of which are second doses.

There have been ZERO new COVID deaths in BC over the past 24 hours.

There are currently 1,496 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. Of the active cases, 139 individuals are currently hospitalized, 39 of whom are in ICU. 

The active cases are the lowest since October 19. The ICU cases are lowest since November 8. 

Step two of the reopening plan means indoor seated gatherings with up to 50 people are permitted at venues such as movie theatres and banquet halls, while pubs and restaurants may serve liquor until midnight.

Premier John Horgan announced a four-step plan last month aiming to allow residents to attend live concerts, watch indoor sports events and take off their masks by Sept. 7.
