SURREY, B.C. — Police in B.C. have identified a 15-year-old boy who has died after being assaulted by a group of people in Surrey.
 
The Integrated Homicide Investigations Team says officers are looking for witnesses to the altercation overnight Saturday that fatally injured Dario Bartoli.
 
Surrey RCMP Insp. Bruce Stuart says police and emergency responders were called about 2:45 a.m. after a report that two teenage boys ran to a home after being attacked by four to five people.
 
 
He says the 15-year-old was rushed to Peace Arch Hospital, where he died of his injuries around 10:20 a.m.
 
Homicide investigators have taken over the case and no one has been immediately arrested.
 
Stuart says the motive for the attack isn't yet clear and they are hoping witnesses can explain what happened.
