16 SeaBus Sailings Cancelled For Thursday

    As transit strike continues in Metro Vancouver, TRANSLINK is expecting the cancellation of 16 SeaBus sailings on Thursday (November 7).

     

    Maintenance workers have been refusing overtime, and on Monday and Tuesday, six sailings were cancelled each day. On Wednesday 14 sailings were cancelled .

     

    The 7:20 am, 9 am, 4:10 pm, 6:47 pm, 7:17 pm, 7:47 pm, 8:17 pm, and 8:47 pm sailings from Lonsdale Quay will be cancelled

     

    The 7:35 am, 9:15 am, 4:25 pm, 7:01 pm, 7:31 pm, 8:01 pm, 8:31 pm, and 9:01 pm sailings from Waterfront will be cancelled.

     
     

    TransLink is urging commuters to subscribe to its notification system for service updates.

     

    5,000 bus drivers, SeaBus operators and maintenance workers have been without a contract since the end of March. Now they are demanding pay and benefit increases, along with improvements in working conditions.

     

    The two sides have not been at the table since talks broken down.
