  • 19 year old man passes away after being shot in Surrey

IHIT is investigating the homicide of a 19 year old  man who died of a gunshot wound in Surrey.

On Friday afternoon, the man arrived at a Surrey hospital with a gunshot wound around 1:30pm and later died as a result of succumbing to his injuries.

Police think this is an isolated incident and no one else is at risk, but it also does not appear to be related to a recent spate gang-violence shootings in the Lower Mainland.

No arrests have been made. IHIT wants anyone with information to reach out at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
