Surrey RCMP is releasing sketches of two suspects involved in stealing a vehicle with a baby inside and asking for the public’s assistance with identifying the men.

On November 9, 2021 at 08:35 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to the report of a vehicle stolen with a baby inside. The vehicle was parked, and left running in the driveway of a residence in the 17200-block of 58 Avenue. 

Investigators have determined that there were two male suspects involved, one who stole the vehicle with the baby and a second suspect who was driving a secondary vehicle. The secondary vehicle was a black Mercedes SUV.

Suspect 1 is described as a Caucasian male, heavy-set build, late 30’s, short hair, stubble on face, and was wearing a dark long sleeved shirt.

Suspect 2 is a Caucasian male, skinny build, late 30’s to early 40’s, bald, missing a tooth, and wearing a grey sweat suit.

In addition to the composite sketches, Surrey RCMP Serious Crime Unit is releasing photographs of two possible witness vehicles who were in the area of the residence where the vehicle was stolen from around the time of the incident. The occupants of the vehicle did not claim ownership of the coins, leading police to believe they were stolen.
