Mounties in Hope say two recreational vehicles were destroyed in a fire that also damaged two others last night.

They say officers, firefighters and paramedics responded to the fire in the area of the American Creek Forest Service Road.

Police say one person was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

They say the fire does not appear suspicious.

Police say it happened early yesterday morning when the family's car collided with a tractor trailer. The two adults in the front were pronounced dead at the scene, while the baby was airlifted to hospital only to die a few hours later.
