26 deaths and 1,344 new cases of COVID in BC over 3 days. Fri to Sat 527 new cases, Sat to Sun 471 new cases, Sun to Mon 346 cases, There has been a total of 64,828 cases in BC. Total deaths sitting at 1154.

British Columbia has heard more holdups about Pfizer vaccine. "The next two weeks we will have very little vaccine."BC is getting no vaccine this week. The first week of Feb the numbers have been dropped substantially. BC may not receive vaccine the first few weeks of February. BC will be spreading out the COVID-19 vaccines 42 days. This is a delay due to a lack of vaccine and will allow province to finish LTC with first doses.

Dr. Henry says there have been 56 instances of adverse reactions to the vaccine in BC. Dr. Bonnie Henry says BC has had 5 cases of the UK variant. They are all related to travel or close contact to travellers. Says there has been no ongoing transmission. There have been 3 cases of South African variant, all 3 community acquired. The South African variant seems to be concerning and the province is doing backwards contact tracing. It is unclear how this variant got here.

Dr. Bonnie Henry says we are at the threshold. This is starting to sound grim. Says the plateau is too high. There seems to be some concern about the variant.
