SURREY, B.C. - The three people found dead in a home in Surrey, B.C., this week have been identified by police.

The IHIT says the bodies of 56-year-old Xiao Yan Zhen, 58 year-old Li Li and their 24-year-old son, Daniel Li, were in the home.

Police were called to the home on Monday where they found the bodies.

A statement released by police on behalf of Li's extended family says the news of the deaths is tragic and they are shocked.

Zhijun Li says in the statement that they remember those who died as a happy family who loved each other.

Li says they are asking friends of the family not to disclose details or photos of them to the public or the media, out of respect for the deceased.
