45-Year-Old Tonya Hyer Of Vancouver Is Third Homicide Victim Of 2020

    Vancouver Police today identified 45-year-old Tonya Hyer of Vancouver as the victim in the city’s third homicide of 2020.


    Officers responded to a call from paramedics at 112 Water Street at about 1:30 a.m. on January 19. The victim had been injured but paramedics were unable to resuscitate her.


    No arrests have been made, however, investigators are asking for anyone who has information to come forward.


    “Investigators believe there are people in the community who know Hyer and have information surrounding her death,” says Constable Tania Visintin, VPD. “Any piece of information, no matter how small, can help.”
