60-Yr-Old Worker Dies After Falling From Construction Site In Surrey, B.C.

    A 60-year-old man has died after falling at a Surrey construction site at the 3100 block of 137A Street in South Surrey

     
    WorkSafeBC says it was contacted around 4 p.m. Wednesday by Surrey RCMP, informing them that a worker had fallen and was seriously injured.
     
    Trish Knight Chernecki, spokesperson for WorkSafeBC, said the worker was airlifted to Royal Columbia Hospital, but later died.
     
    According to Sgt. Alanna Dunlop, the man was working at a house under construction. WorkSafe BC said that the worker succumbed to his injuries before his airlift to Royal Columbia Hospital arrived.
     
    Surrey RCMP, the BC Coroner's Service and WorkSafe BC are investigating.
