84 COVID19 cases over 2 days

Over the last two days there are 84 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 147,705 cases in British Columbia. The rolling 7 day case average is now 43, the lowest since August 9.

There new cases include 49 new cases from June 30 to July 1 and 35 new cases in the last 24 hours.

2 new COVID-19 related deaths, for a total of 1,756 deaths in British Columbia.

There are 729 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. 99 individuals are currently hospitalized, 30 of whom are in intensive care.

Cases by health authority: Coastal - 21 Fraser - 36 Island - ZERO Interior - 25 Northern - 2.

78.7% of all adults in B.C. and 77.5% of those 12 and older have now received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. In addition, 35.2% of all adults in B.C. and 32.9% of those 12 and older have received their second dose.

In total, 5,124,693 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in B.C., 1,526,711 of which are second doses.

Vancouver Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) investigators located over 2,300 images and 55 videos of child pornography. The ages of the victims in the material ranged from three (3) to 10 years old.

Panel named to advise on new governor general

Six people are on the panel, which was announced Friday by Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc.
