There are 841 new cases of COVID-19, including six epi-linked cases, for a total of 127,889 cases in British Columbia.

There are 8,009 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, with 11,657 people under public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases. A further 118,057 people who tested positive have recovered.

There have been five new COVID-19 related deaths, for a total of 1,576 deaths in British Columbia.

Hospitalizations are going up again in BC. There are 515 individuals are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 171 of whom are in ICU.

New cases by health authority: Coastal - 171 new cases Fraser - 541 new cases Island Health - 35 new cases Interior - 74 new cases Northern - 20 new cases.

1,705,409 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in B.C., 89,725 of which are second doses.

Vaccine bookings will open to people age 58 and older at midnight, while people age 30 and up who live in COVID-19 hot spots are now eligible to receive the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine in B.C.

Health officals are reminding everyone whether you had your vaccine last month, or are booked for the days ahead, we remind everyone to continue to use all of your layers of protection, to stay small and stay local until we have COVID-19 where we want and need it to be.
