Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 15 Apr, 2016 01:38 PM
VERNON, B.C. — An Okanagan senior is British Columbia's latest lucky lotto winner.

Vernon resident Robert Jaeger says he hasn't stopped smiling since discovering he won $5 million in Saturday's Lotto 6-49 jackpot.

The 90-year-old says he was so excited about the win that he was only able to sleep for two hours before claiming his prize Thursday.

Jaeger says he's planning to treat 20 of his closes friends to dinner, share some of the winnings with his family and put the rest of the money in the bank.

He is the second Okanagan resident to win a lottery windfall this week.

A Kelowna grandmother took home the $50-million prize from the April 8 Lotto Max draw.
