Abbotsford Police Arrest, Issue Warning Against Female Sex Offender Audrey Black

    On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, Audrey Elizabeth Jean BLACK, a 39-year-old woman who was previously the subject of an APD Public Notification, was arrested by an APD Major Crime detective. 
     
    The arrest was the culmination of an investigation into whether BLACK was in compliance with her court-ordered conditions to refrain from use of the internet. BLACK is now facing three charges of Failure to Comply with a Probation Order.
     
    She has been released on the following court-ordered conditions:
     
    - Not to possess or use any electronic devices capable of accessing the internet
     
    - Not to keep, maintain or pay for any account via any internet services provider
     
    which permits or provides access to the internet
     
    - Not to engage in any activity that involves contact or communication with persons under the age of eighteen years using a computer system
     
    In June, 2011, the Abbotsford Police Department issued a Public Notification concerning Audrey BLACK as a result of her criminal history which included convictions for Sexual Interference, Invitation to Sexual Touching and Possession of Child Pornography.
     
    APD investigators will continue to monitor her behaviour.
