Abbotsford Police Ask Good Samaritan To Call Them After Attempted Abduction Of Teenage Girl

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 30 Sep, 2016 10:46 AM
ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Police in Abbotsford, B.C., are appealing to a Good Samaritan to contact them, saying he helped a 16-year-old girl during an attempted abduction and could assist investigators.

Police say the girl was waiting at a bus stop on Sept. 17 when a man drove past her several times in a van before parking the vehicle and approaching her.

Officers say he tried to entice her with liquor and a ride to work but she refused.

Police say the suspect grabbed the teen by the arm and tried to pull her toward his parked vehicle.

The girl resisted, and as she and a male passerby yelled at the suspect, he escaped.

Twenty-four-year-old Dwight Love-Paulson has been  arrested and charged with assault.
