Abbotsford Teen Hit By Car Dies In Hospital: Police

    ABBOTSFORD, B.C. — Police say a teenager is dead after being hit by a car in Abbotsford, B.C.
     
    Officers say the 19-year-old was severely injured in the incident at about 9:40 p.m. Thursday.
     
     
    He was taken to hospital in an ambulance but died at about 2:15 a.m. the following morning.
     
    Constable Ian MacDonald says a longboard was found at the crash site but can't confirm whether the teen was riding it when he was hit.
     
    He says a 20-year-old man who was driving the car stayed at the scene is co-operating.
     
     
    Investigators are gathering evidence and speaking to witnesses.
