Mounties in southern Alberta say two people are dead and a third is in critical condition after a vehicle hit a group of pedestrians and then left the scene.

RCMP say five people were walking on the Siksika Nation on Saturday night when they were struck.

Two men, aged 27 and 45, who are both residents of the Siksika Nation, died.
