Alex Fraser Bridge closed in both directions

With the harsh winter conditions in the Lower mainland, Alex Fraser Bridge has been shut down in both directions. A tweet from Drive BC says to use an alternate route. The Port Mann Bridge could be closed if weather conditions deteriorate.

REMINDER - #AlexFraserBridge is CLOSED in both directions due to winter operations. Please use an alternate route. Expect major delays due to congestion.

Crews are monitoring conditions and the Ministry will be updating on the re-opening time. There were reports of ice bombs crashing on peoples' cars in previous winters from the bridge and causing damage.
