'Allahu Akbar': B.C. Man John Nuttall Praised Allah After Planting Bombs At Legislature On Canada Da

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 17 Mar, 2015 03:47 PM
VANCOUVER — An accused terrorist praised Allah after allegedly planting homemade pressure-cooker bombs on the lawn of the B.C. legislature on Canada Day.

John Nuttall and his wife Amanda Korody were captured by hidden cameras carrying bags with the pressure cookers from an undercover RCMP van on July 1, 2013.

They return several minutes later recounting how they each placed bombs in bushes on the legislature lawn with timers set to detonate in about four hours.

Nuttall repeats an Arabic phrase that translates to "Allah is the greatest" as they drive away.

Nuttall tells the officer he encountered a homeless man as he dropped off his bombs and that he almost used a knife to kill the man.

The Crown has said the RCMP ensured the bombs were inert and could not explode.
