Anti racism rally at Surrey's Aspen Park, Surrey RCMP say charges may be considered.

A rally organized by Stand with Asians Coalition and the South Asian community at large took place in Surrey Tuesday evening as a show of solidarity by the community for a group of South Asian grandmothers and children who were targeted in a hate and race related incident. 

The rally was attended by many and kids held placards with words such as End Racism. 

A group of South Asian grandmothers were targeted with racist insults at Aspen park on July 28 in Surrey by a Caucasian couple. 

Apart from having racist remarks hurled at them garbage was also thrown at them and at the kids at the park.

South Asian Politicans such as Sukh Dhaliwal and Randeep Sarai also attended the rally.

The Surrey RCMP say the investigation is ongoing, and that charges may be considered.

The couple that was involved has since offered an apology. 

According to the Mounties, the victims accepted the apology however the organizers of the rally intervened didn't let that happen.
