Apparently Targeted Stabbing In Surrey, B.C., Leaves One Dead, One Injured

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 07 Aug, 2018 10:26 AM

SURREY, B.C. — One man has died and another is injured after what RCMP in Surrey, B.C., say appears to be a targeted knife attack.

Police say they were called to Surrey's Guildford neighbourhood late Monday afternoon for a report of a stabbing.

One victim was rushed to hospital and the RCMP news release says a second injured man was dropped at a local hospital a short time later.

The second man died and police say the first man is being treated for serious wounds.

Investigators believe the two stabbings are related but say the apparently targeted incident does not pose a risk to the general public.

Members of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team and Surrey's serious crimes unit are working together on the case and have not said if any suspects have been identified.
