Arrest made in homicide: VPD

Police in Vancouver say they have made an arrest in the stabbing death of a 34-year-old man in the city's Downtown Eastside a year ago.

They say Stephen Crock was found on the sidewalk near East Hastings and Columbia suffering from stab wounds on November 21st, 2023.

Police say Crock was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

They say the B-C Prosecution Service has now approved a second-degree murder charge against the 23-year-old man, and he will remain in custody until his next court appearance.

RCMP confirm Indigenous teen missing in Williams Lake has been found safe

RCMP Staff Sgt. Kris Clark says the 13-year-old is safe. He did not say where she was found. An earlier release from the Williams Lake detachment said she was not believed to have left the Cariboo city.
