  • Attempted murder charge in Surrey shooting

More charges have been laid in a shooting in Surrey last April where a Calgary man was initially charged with attempted murder.

RCMP say they began working with police in Calgary shortly after a man was shot and injured in a home in the Newton neighbourhood.

Now police say a male youth has been arrested and is accused in the same incident of attempted murder, discharge of a firearm with intent, arson and weapons charges.

The youth was arrested and transferred from Calgary last month and remains in custody in BC.
