B & E suspect ID needed

Darpan News Desk IANS, 19 Aug, 2024 04:31 PM
  • B & E suspect ID needed

Mounties in West Kelowna are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect in a break-and-enter at a home earlier this month.

R-C-M-P say it happened when the homeowners were out for a walk, and while their adult daughter and her child were in the basement.

Police say the male suspect broke in and stole cash and a credit card before leaving the home, then used the card at three businesses before it was reported stolen.

They say surveillance video shows the man wearing a dark-coloured camoflage shirt with a hood, sunglasses, a dark grey baseball hat, dark jeans and white and orange running shoes.

The caution came in documents prepared for former immigration minister Sean Fraser as Ottawa looked at waiving the restriction on the number of hours international students could work off-campus — a policy the Liberals eventually implemented.
