B.C. New Democrats Enter Convention Ready To Ride The Wave Of Change

Darpan News Desk IANS, 06 Nov, 2015 11:01 AM
VANCOUVER — Eight hundred card-carrying members of B.C.'s New Democratic Party are gathering in Vancouver for the party's annual convention.

Leader John Horgan says the results of the recent federal election shows a hunger for change and delegates are ready to capitalize.

He says the party wants to talk about innovation and opportunity.

Delegates will also focus on creating a platform that the majority of B.C. voters will support.

The convention begins Friday afternoon, but most of the work happens over the weekend.

A leadership vote is set for Saturday, executive elections take place Sunday and federal NDP leader Tom Mulcair addresses delegates just before the gathering concludes on Sunday afternoon. (CHNL)
