B.C. Police Ask For Help In Finding Man And His Three-Year-Old Son

    PORT ALBERNI, B.C. — Vancouver Island Mounties are looking for a 35-year-old man and his three-year-old son.
     
     
    Police say Jan Stelmaszyk and his son, Matt Bartnik, are believed to be camping, possibly in the Victoria area. 
     
     
     
    Stelmaszyk has been known to camp in parks across Vancouver Island and he's driving a white 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe with the B.C. plate licence plate CL9 65H.
     
     
    He had been keeping the family updated through social media posts on Instagram, but police say the family came forward after they didn't hear anything from him for four days. 
     
     
    Police say Stelmaszyk doesn't have a cellphone and the family is concerned for the pair's safety.
     
     
    Police say the boy has a thin build with collar-length light brown hair and grey eyes, while his dad is six-foot-two inches tall, with brown eyes, black hair and a full beard and moustache.
