B.C. Woman Sentenced To 2 Years In Prison For Death Of Man Thrown From Vehicle's Hood

    SALMON ARM , B.C. — A Sicamous, B.C., woman who pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing death has been sentenced to two years in prison.
     
    Provincial court heard 48-year-old Christina Laforge was driving while impaired as a man rode on the hood of her vehicle after a party in August 2013.
     
    When Laforge stopped suddenly, 49-year-old Troy Charlton was thrown to the ground and killed. 
     
    Laforge has also been handed a three-year driving ban.
