Burnaby RCMP Shoot, Kill Man After Responding To Double-stabbing Incident

    BURNABY, B.C. — A man is dead after being shot by police in Burnaby.
     
    Burnaby RCMP say they responded to reports of a double stabbing (on the 6100 block of 14th Avenue) shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday.
     
    The Mounties say they found three men in a Burnaby residence, one of whom was already dead.
     
    Police say they took one man into custody and sent another man to hospital after he was shot by officers during the arrest.
     
    The province's police watchdog says the man has since died of his injuries.
     
    The Independent Investigations Office is on the scene looking into the incident.
