New Westminster Police are seeking witnesses after a person was assaulted by a group of young people onboard a bus.
Police say the victim suffered minor injuries from the incident, which happened around 6:30 p-m Sunday.
They say the group fled the scene before first responders arrived.
Sergeant Andrew Leaver says in a news release that police believe other people were on the bus at the time and are asking people to come forward to describe what they saw.
“In addition, the provincial health officer’s order on gatherings and events has been amended today to provide a variance for outdoor worship services”.
Kenneth Nolan Kirton failed to report back to his halfway house in Vancouver by his curfew in on March 22. Kirton has a history of committing serious, dangerous offences.
The release says the new timeline means that about 200,000 people in B.C. aged 16 years or older who are clinically extremely vulnerable will receive their first dose of vaccine in the coming weeks.
