New Westminster Police are seeking witnesses after a person was assaulted by a group of young people onboard a bus.

Police say the victim suffered minor injuries from the incident, which happened around 6:30 p-m Sunday.

They say the group fled the scene before first responders arrived.

Sergeant Andrew Leaver says in a news release that police believe other people were on the bus at the time and are asking people to come forward to describe what they saw.
