Calgary Man, 21, Dies From Fall In Yoho National Park In Field, B.C.

    FIELD, B.C. — Mounties say a 21-year-old Calgary man has died from a fall in Yoho National Park in Field, B.C.
     
    RCMP say the man was hiking with a group of friends in the alpine above the Little Yoho Campground on Thursday when he lost his footing and fell about 200 metres.
     
    Mounties say his friends immediately activated a personal locator beacon, and a Canadian Forces search and rescue helicopter, which was flying through the area, responded.
     
     
     
    RCMP say they received word that the helicopter was transporting the patient into nearby Golden just before 6 p.m., and police and paramedics responded and met the aircraft.
     
    But Mounties say the man died before the helicopter arrived in Golden.
     
    The Golden-Field RCMP says it will continue to assist the B.C. Coroner's Service with its investigation.

    On 2016-06-26 at approximately 1:15 A.M., Surrey R.C.M.P. received a call from staff of the Taphouse Bar in the 15300 Block of 102A Ave., Surrey, B.C., reporting that one of their staff was involved in an altercation with a person at the front door, and had stabbed their staff member.
