IHIT has made an arrest in the homicide of Cody Mostat from March 25, 2022 in Langley with charges of second degree murder being laid.

On March 25, 2022, at 8:49 p.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of an unconscious man in the 20400-block of 88 Avenue in Langley.  Officers attended the scene and attempted life saving efforts, but sadly, the man died on scene. The victim was identified as 30-year old Cody Mostat of Langley.

Following a six-month investigation, IHIT investigators identified Justin Bos as a suspect in the homicide of Mr. Mostat.

On September 21, 2022, Bos was arrested by IHIT and charged with second degree murder of Cody Mostat. 

“The outcome was the result of six months of hard work and perseverance by the investigating team,” says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT.  “We’re thankful to our partners for their ongoing dedication.”

Bos was taken into custody safely and without incident.

On Tuesday, August 23rd, two other men were arrested in relation to the homicide. At this time, no charges have been laid. A residence in Mission is currently being held, pending a search warrant.

Langley RCMP front line officers attended and located a 29-year-old deceased man, later identified as Nicholas Ball, of Langley.  On Tuesday, August 23rd, 40-year old Jason Griffiths of Langley was arrested in connection to the murder of Nicholas Ball.
