Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 30 Dec, 2019 09:09 PM

VANCOUVER - Police say a woman who was injured during an assault that killed a man in Duncan, B.C., on Christmas Eve has died.

RCMP say they found the injured man and woman just before 11 p.m. on Dec. 24 and the man was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit says the woman died on Saturday and it's now investigating the incident as a double homicide.

Police say early indicators suggest the attack was targeted.

They've identified two men who are persons of interest.

The major crime unit is urging anyone who was in the area of Trunk Road and Duncan Street or Canada Avenue between 10:30 and 11 p.m. on Christmas Eve to reach out to police.
